Many people every week watch Cesar Millan’s program ‘The Dog Whisperer’, I myself chose not to follow his methods but instead to use and teach Jan’s gentle, non confrontational method ‘Amichen Bonding’ TM for a reason, that reason was and still is that I wanted my dogs to respect and do as requested because they WANTED to, NOT because they were afraid of me. Here are a couple of links to videos showing how both Jan and Cesar work with dogs………… now YOU decide which you think is better for you and your canine FRIEND…

Now……….. after seeing these comparisons which would you choose? Jan or Cesar? I know who I choose EVERY time

I have watched Cesar Milan on TV and seen him take an aggressive dog from one family ‘turn it around’ and place it with another. Not telling them about its past. The dog is then excellent with the new people. I wonder how long this well known honeymoon period lasts.
I tried Cesar’s method with my Rat Terrier worked a while but then I thought I am pulling his neck and hurting him (and my arm!!) so we stopped. Also the roller skating is ridiculous, how many dogs and people who tried this in UK would end up under a car!. Walks should be fun not a time to exhaust your dog into submission.
I hadn’t seen the clip of Cesar Milan choking that dog, and am horrified he was allowed to do that to the dog and air it on TV! He tried to say that the dog wasn’t being choked, but I’m a Vet Nurse, and seeing a blue tongue in a dog sends me into a panic, and that poor dog’s tongue was blue!! He often gets bitten too, which surely sets him up as a failure. I wouldn’t have become a Dog Listener myself if I didn’t believe in Jan Fennell’s kind, gentle, non forceful, non confrontational, approach, it works and it works well ( it is NOT a rank redution programme either!). My own dog is so relaxed he is horizontal most of the time
